I am enthusiastic in life science research and healthcare & biotech industry. In my opinion, scientific research in life science is very “romantic”. Even though it is not going to stop people from death, it at least can let people finish their life painlessly without suffering and improve their quality of life. I find it very satisfying when I have good results that can bring impact to the community but also can fulfil my ambitions on the other hand.I am currently a final year PhD candidate at HKU Med, conducting research related to neuroscience, biotech and neuropharmacology in the field of neurodegenerative disease including Alzheimer’s disease and depression. I also have knowledge in economics, finance and accounting(IFRS and US GAAP). I have passed CFA level 2 exam in Nov 2022 and passed level 1 exam in May 2022. In addition, I also have practical work experience in buy-side and sell-side finance firms.I believe that my background not only can allow me to contribute in scientific research in a company but also the company business development aspect. I am now looking for postdoctoral position in either research institution or industry to further craft my research skills.
