In 2013, I defended my PhD on the network development process of a startup willing to change the practice of how cofounders meet each other. Since then, I have been interested in how companies, organizations and emerging technologies shape markets. My curiosity has led me to secure the prestigious post-doctoral funding from the Academy of Finland, and to join startups commercializing new technology and challenging current market practices. Most recently, I co-founded DrAI that stands for the fastest and the most accurate insight from textual data. In a short period of time, we managed to sell out 3 out of 10 days, and had altogether more than 60,000 spectators during the event in a country where the sport is practically unknown. We signed important deals with sponsors, which were also new to the sport. We livestreamed the event to our global audience. As a result, we were able to make a positive financial result in the first year of operation. Most of all we received excellent feedback from the players and staff.
