Working within the UK Legal Department I perform a range of contractual work for Wiley's books and journals products, including the review of society, editorial and publishing agreements as well as the initial drafting of agreements and amendments. I assist with German to English translations of contractual terms where necessary. I also review and prepare any requests for the reversion of full and partial rights (such as translation or audio rights) to authors and third parties. I prepare Data Protection Addenda (DPAs) required under GDPR for societies, customers and third parties. I also ensure the requisite DPA documentation has been signed off by sub-processors and maintain FAQs and workflows to ensure Iinternal company compliance with GDPR. I act as the UK point of contact for content abuse issues such as phishing scams, plagiarism, piracy and illegal hosting sites. In this regard I represent Wiley at relevant meetings and seminars and maintain close contact with the UK Publishers' Association. In additon I advise on issues related to publishing ethics and issues of concern such as sanctions compliance, predatory publishing and peer review manipulation. I provide regular updates, presentations and educational sessions to raise awareness of these issues.

I initially supported and maintained relations with the company’s third party vendors (subscription agents) worldwide following Wiley's acquisition of Blackwell Publishing. This involved paying regular personal visits to the largest agents in the USA and Europe and as well as conducting regular feedback via conference calls, email and conference attendance.I presented new pricing and sales models, products and services to agents with particular emphasis on productivity improvements.I also prepared income and circulation analyses on our business.I played a pivotal role in the move of Blackwell Publishing's subscription and customer data into Wiley systems as well the move of customer and license data from Blackwell Synergy to Wiley Online Library.I work closely on initiatives to protect Wiley's intellectual property in both print and digital formats. I have a particular interest in emerging markets for Wiley's content, particularly India. I worked with ICEDIS on developing a standard for publishers and agents to electronically exchange product and pricing information.I also work on mining data from authentication and fulfilment systems to generate substantial sales revenue. I am passionate on the importance of clean data as a valuable sales and marketing tool.

I managed a team of 20 staff overseeing Wiley's global fulfilment operation. This involved print fulfilment, tier 1 technical support, pricing, renewals, acquisitions and society membership relations.

I managed Harcourt's UK Customer Service Team, including print fulfilment, distribution, online queries and membership support. I was a key player in the integration of Harcourt's fulfilment system into Elsevier's platform, following the sale of Harcourt journals.

I provided customer service and technical support to the company's online trading customers.

I had responsibility for the Customer Service Team and annual renewal activity. I paid regular visits to customers.
