1. Manual development - This being a new entrant on the Zambian market, it required a guide or manual to guide its operations.2. LPO preparation - Having receiving opportunities to supply, all the business documents had to be in place.3. Consultancy - All the professional advise that goes with tendering and supply.4. Continued consultancy - This is still being supported on consultancy basis.

As Senior Procurement Specialist, there are five main areas that where my direct responsibility.1. Construction works - prepare tender documents, tender out, receive bids, analyse, escalate to tender committee, raise contracts and expedite.2. Consultancy services - prepare expression for interest document and invitation for proposals, work with technical technical team for both both technical and commercial analysis, escalate to tender committee, prepare contracts and expedite3. Solar Installations - prepare tender documents, tender out, receive bids, analyse, escalate to tender committee, raise contracts and expedite.4. Contract negotiations - prepare for negotiation, lead negotiation team, understand value that would accrue to my organisation, prepare minutes of discussion contents for the record.5. Transnational Buying - prepare requests for quotations for day to day office requirements, raise Local Purchase Orders and ensure delivery5. System Super-User - a procurement system was espoused to process all requests and finally issues a report. This was my direct responsibility.Please note that I ascended through the ranks over the years. I was Assistant Stores Officer, then Head of Stores. Based on merit and excellent service, I was promoted to Procurement Officer and then Senior Procurement Officer.
