My name is Kabir Kumar, born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship @O.P. Jindal Global University (Via Jindal School of Banking and Finance).Throughout my educational journey I have always been interested in mathematics but I never saw its practicality until I understood more about the financial world. College played a pivotal role in directing my finance interest and amidst that I developed a curiosity for investments, particularly the stock market.My father, having worked in the financial sector all his life, is very keen on me getting involved in the financial department. He helped me figure out the different roles, designations and job profiles commonly found in the financial department which led me to discover my inclination towards the field of financial advisory and portfolio management. I am eager to expand my knowledge in this area. To meet this interest, I am actively searching for internship and work opportunities in the financial industry and am directing my education, via electives and course selection, towards the financial field of advisory and portfolio management.An attribute I believe creates a differentiating factor for me is my ability to communicate with people whether it be persuasive, or understanding their critique. I am always open to feedback and am able to identify and implement the necessary changes.I believe my ability to communicate with people plays a beneficiary role in numerous scenarios whether it be pitching, or team projects, etc.I also believe I also possess a driven ambitious personality, which helps me set higher goals and greater standards to achieve and set my eyes on being successful.In addition to my academics pursuits, I have a deep passion for football. I have played in various leagues and competitive tournaments and have even travelled to Spain to train with Barcelona's B team coach in 2017. I continue to satisfy my hunger for the sport by representing my college team.I also have great passion for music and creative writing whether it be through playing the piano or composing my own songs. I came 5th all over India in a national poetry competition held by Hashtag Kalakar.

Implemented the model in the FinTech sector, specifically for companies: PhonePe, Paytm, and Policy Bazaar.- Assessed vendors on four risk types: operational, financial, reputational, and cybersecurity, using specific metrics such as for financial risk the metrics were revenue growth rate, current ratio, and cash flow from operations as a percentage of revenue.- Created a scoring system to each metric based on industry averages and research/historical data such as a current ratio between 1.0 and 1.5 has a score 8/10- Weights are assigned to each metric which is used to calculate the overall risk score of that certain type. Revenue growth rate had a 30% weight, current ratio (30%) and CFO as a % of revenue (40%). - Each type has an equal weight of 25% and once the overall score of the types have been calculated, each score is multiplied into 25% and summed up to provide an overall score out of 10- The higher the ITPRA score the safer it is for the company to onboard that particular third party vendor.- The model enables companies to objectively evaluate the potential risks associated with onboarding vendors.
