About Kabir Ramzan

I’m Kabir, an entrepreneur with a personal mission to harness the power of technology to connect people and make a powerful impact in society. When I got my hands on Scratch at the age of five, I developed an intense passion for computer science. At age ten, I started learning Python, and although I enjoyed programming in general, the concept of graphical user interfaces from Scratch stuck with me. I eventually learned how to use TkInter to create applications and PyGame to create games. However, Python was difficult to package and distribute for all platforms, leaving readable and easily manipulated code in the file system. Additionally, TkInter did not provide the tools for building the best user interfaces. Then, I learned more about making websites. I first used restrictive editors like Wix, Weebly, and Google Sites, but I soon learned about HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. I could now create easily distributable applications with secure backend systems, all with a simpler way to make the app look nice. Although I had once been a Python developer, I was now a full-stack web developer.Ever since I first learned about web development, I've been creating applications to help students at my school as well as making websites for others as a freelancer. I also have a passion for Latin and the classics and built a comprehensive global Latin education platform now used by hundreds of students across the world. After my school transitioned to remote learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I created online school resources (used by the over 500 students at my school) such as a bell application and a website compiling all teacher Zoom links.More recently, I've become interested in bringing encryption, privacy technologies, and alternative monetization strategies to the everyday consumer. That's why I'm creating TogaTech, a platform and productivity suite that uses end-to-end NaCl encryption and cryptographic signatures that are so secure that even TogaTech couldn't read user data while still allowing for the verification of authenticity of owner and integrity of data. For fun, I enjoy using my technical skills to participate in hackathons with friends, successfully building numerous projects to benefit society. In my spare time, I also teach other students and share my knowledge of computer science. My current programming skillset includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript (frontend/vanilla, backend/Node.js, React, Vue.js), TypeScript, PHP, SQL, Python, Java, C, C#, Rust, Solidity, Swift, BASIC, and Batch/Bash, although I'm always looking to expand and learn more.
