Currently, I am a Child and Family Advocate at Begin With Us Childcare and Preschool. This is an Administrative Role that allows me to work closely with the children and their families. I help schedule and conduct necessary screenings for our Pre-K counts program, attend Field Trips, assist Teachers, help with behaviors, help parents find resources that may be needed for their families, use Canva for Facebook Posts and recruitment, help with Facebook Postings, assist with applications for the program, schedule and prepare recruitment events, answer phone calls, and other job duties.I had experience as a Bank Teller after graduation during the Pandemic at Northwest Bank from September 2020 until June of 2021. I then moved into a new house, and found a job as a Customer Service Representative for Global Tel Link which allowed me to work closer to home. I worked in this position from June 2021 until August 2021.When attending College at Penn State Altoona Human Development and Family Studies and minoring in Psychology. I also worked at a Non-Profit club as a bartender, cook, janitor and even worked on some maintenance, while also volunteering my time at our local events that benefits our community, such as our annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Fishing Derby, and others.I have taken extensive coursework that looks into the development of people, especially children, and have also done quantitative and qualitative research, created an auto ethnography, along with learning how and why our brain functions the way it does. I would love to be able to put my skills to use, working with and helping the general public, but would love to focus my skills on children.
