I have two decades of experience working as a radio and television host, improviser, voiceover artist, and online/live event host. I most recently worked as co-anchor and features host on Q13 News This Morning, where my work on specials was nominated for two local Emmy awards. I also co-hosted the Friday weekly special, Q13 News This Morning with Kaci and Travis, where we produced, wrote, and hosted content from an in-depth and creative perspective. This included taped segments and live interviews.I have also served as host of online coverage of The International, a global gaming event featuring professional teams from all over the world competing in the game Dota 2 for millions of dollars. It is one of my favorite gigs; I get to meet and interview professionals and fans from all over the world who are passionate about Dota, and learn about the online gaming industry and the people involved.I come from a radio background and spent 10 years in the industry here in Seattle starting as a sophomore in college, first as an intern and then a few months later as a traffic reporter for KISS FM. I spent several years working my way through other positions there, including Public Affairs Director and overnight host before moving over to our sister station, KZOK, and joining The Bob Rivers Show as news director and co-host. My background is also in improv comedy; I was a cast member with Jet City Improv for 7 years, performing short-form improvised comedy scenes weekly. I also created/assistant-directed/performed in their production of "Dirty Laundry," an improvised couples therapy that performed to sold-out crowds during it's run, in addition to being featured in the Chicago Improv Festival, Out of Bounds Festival in Austin, and the Seattle Festival of Improv Theater.(Photo courtesy: Jerry & Lois Levin http://www.jerryandlois.com/)
