As a Ph.D. Graduate of Brigham Young University my research consists of comparing quantitative and qualitative methods of assessing white matter pathology found on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in pediatric traumatic brain injury. I also look at mental processing speed in children with known white matter pathology such as white matter hyperintensities and atrophy. My goal is to make quantitative methods more accessible for the clinical work flow, in order to improve patient care by providing objective evidence to support clinical impressions, track changes over time, and assist with the diagnosis process.
