About Kacie Luaders, Mfa

As the Founding Producer of Could Be Pretty Cool, I create, host, and executive produce original podcasts that showcase creative people and ideas. Some of my projects include "You Heard Me Write", a Spotify exclusive series that features writers reading and discussing their work, "Ridiculous News", a comedy podcast that covers absurd and hilarious stories from around the world, and "Kym", an Audible original drama that follows a young woman's journey of self-discovery and empowerment.With a MFA in Sound Design from Savannah College of Art and Design and a BS in Music Recording Technology from Hampton University, I have a strong background and passion for audio production and storytelling. I have also completed a Data Analytics Bootcamp at General Assembly, which helps me leverage data to optimize and grow my podcasts. I have been recognized as a 2022 40 Under 40 in Podcasting by Podcast Magazine, a 2023 Black Ambition Prize Semifinalist, a 2023 Goodie Nation Storytelling Fellow, and a 2022 Emory Arts and Social Justice Fellow. I also freelance as a sound designer for live events and theatrical productions, and have been nominated for Outstanding Sound Design by the Suzi Awards. My goal is to curate and amplify diverse and authentic voices through podcasts and other audio mediums.
