As System Director, MMIS & Logistics with Norton Healthcare, I was responsible for managing daily warehouse operations with $2.5M in monthly volume and 30K sq. ft. of inventory. I provided leadership as Director of MMIS responsible for maintaining control over all aspects of the Lawson ERP system for Materiel Management. This position involved focusing on ensuring data, interfaces, and reporting were consistent, timely, and accurate. I created ad-hoc reports to assist Finance with determining increase in spend across years. This report has assisted in finding increases in spend due to supply utilization changes. This has allow discussion with Physicians to change practices thereby lowering expenses. This has also assisted in contract negotiations that have generated a $5 million dollar savings per year. I created reports for inventory storerooms to better manage their inventory, this has increased inventory turns from 12 to 18 turns per year in the storerooms. I also collaborated with Information Systems to ensure the Lawson system remained updated with any changes that occurred with upgrades and patches. Additionally, I worked directly with end users to ensure proper utilization of the Lawson system and all ancillary systems to ensure correct information was being used. Key contributions included: • Conducted training and developed training materials as needed for end users on proper use of the Lawson system• Worked with Epic Team to ensure all charges were accurately reconciled and that all systems worked cohesively• Coordinated to develop Lawson Item Number to Epic CDM Number to Manufacturer Catalog Number relationship• Focused on identifying areas of opportunity and implementing best practices for efficiency and process improvement
Manager, Lawson Implementation
As Manager of Lawson Implementation, I had functional responsibility for implementation of an organization-wide Lawson ERP system at Norton Healthcare. In this position, I spearheaded implementation of Materiel Management, Accounts Payable, and Finance functionality. The project was completed 5% under budget. I also collaborated with in-house support staff and external consultants to ensure smooth go-live of the Lawson system.
