Risk Management Consultant
Current• Develop proficiency with State and Federal regulations, long term care industry Best Practices and IPMG risk management programs.• Develop proficiency with IPMG risk management assessment tools and processes.• Develop proficiency with IPMG self-insured program risk management philosophy and services.• Achieve and demonstrate ability to analyze client regulatory non-compliance history, liability claims trends, quality assurance statistics et al.• Achieve and demonstrate ability to develop and/or or provide risk management policies, programs, procedures that maximize clients’ ability to implement Best Practices and avoid potential exposures.• Through accompanied and then independent on-site visitation and other methods of communication, provide support and direction to promote timely client implementation of recommended risk management policies, programs, and procedures.• Achieve and demonstrate ability to analyze clients’ operational activities on an on-going basis and make recommendations to accomplish risk management and other related organizational goals, within the context of contracted services.• Achieve and demonstrate ability to prepare and present reports and statistical data relating to risk management operations and program performance in timeframes consistent with client requests and/or departmental guidelines.• Achieve and demonstrate ability to provide on-site training sessions in a frequency consistent with client requests and/or needs.• Maintain systems and documentation that provide for appropriate evaluation, control and communication of efforts related to assigned functions.• Other duties as assigned.
