I can be described in a variety of different ways by my peers from different environments, but I seek to leave the impression of one word, one concept, to everyone I interact with. Ambition.Growing up playing Soccer with a team brimming with guys from all around the world, I was thrusted into an identity that has proven to be a global unifier, and my love for experiencing cultures that I am lucky to be surrounded by in the United States first-hand is a foundation of my motivation. I hope to bridge the cultural gap between international groups, especially for those that come after me, in order to create a more cooperative global society. In High School, I stumbled across the opportunity to go abroad for a year at a German High School through the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Program and told my mom that night that I could be leaving for a year, a proclamation met with hesitant support and disguised worry. To avoid the oh-so-overplayed story of a life changing exchange year, what you can imagine is pretty accurate, and it taught me great extents about my own values and shortcomings. Stemming from a slight FOMO toward individuals of the world, and my newfound confidence in independence, my objective became a pursuit of the ability to possess a global reach and impact. To be able to bring people together to share a cherished experience is uniquely powerful.That excites me.
