I am currently an Analyst at the I-STEM Secretariat within Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), where I focus on planning and implementing long-term projects, analyzing and developing policies, and contributing to the advancement of STEM initiatives in collaboration with Indigenous knowledge. I hold a Master of Science in Biology from the University of New Brunswick, where I conducted research on the cellular pathology of larval zebrafish swim bladder non-inflation. My undergraduate studies were completed at Carleton University, where I earned an Honors degree in Biology with a minor in Neuroscience & Mental Health, focusing on the use of cannabidiol (CBD) in companion animals.My certifications include SafeTALK Suicide Prevention Training, TCPS-2 CORE Research Ethics Training, and training in Indigenous research ethics and data sovereignty via OCAP(R). I am a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and the New Brunswick Beekeepers Association.Professionally, I have experience as a research supervisor, teaching assistant, and in various roles in non-standard workspaces such as outdoor classrooms and on-the-land learning. I am proficient in MS Office, various laboratory techniques, and statistical software, including RStudio.In my personal life, I own and operate Howling Acres Homestead, a small-scale farmstead dedicated to sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices. This endeavor has deepened my commitment to environmental stewardship and wholistic land management.
