I started to become more involved with other clients. Dunkin' Donuts was still my primary focus, but my secondary focus became Colonel De Herbs & Spices. While my tertiary focus was Weather Oar Knot and Hagedorn Appliances. I began to really increase customer engagement through our social media channels by relating the posts on a personal level, while also reaching customers on a broader spectrum. I wanted to create a connection between the customer and our products through pictures, because photography is a great way to do this. I started to attend events for Colonel De, which were mostly the cooking classes that were offered to get customers more knowledgable about different products they had. These classes ranged from Spices 101 to Seafood 101 to Crockpot Cooking. They were really all about getting the Colonel to talk about something his is passionate about - cooking, spices, and his customers. I learned a lot through this position that small companies have a lot of power. There is a lot to learn out there, and I increased my marketing knowledge with real hands-on experience. Show less
Marketing Intern
Let's start this off by saying I was not another "intern" that went around and got everyone coffee. I actually learned a lot through this experience, that will be beneficial to any company in the future. Through my position as an intern, my main focus was on one client - Dunkin' Donuts. I attended events with our mascot, Sprinkles, promoting our brand and company as a whole. I attended events with our mascot, Sprinkles, promoting our brand and company as a whole. I promoted products, handed out lots of free donut coupons, and taught people a little about Dunkin' that they may have not known. Let me just say that whenever Sprinkles was around, so were lots of people that wanted to take tons and tons of photos. This was definitely a fun part of my time as an intern. People love mascots. I felt great to be a part of something that people loved. It was great capturing moments of people interacting with the mascot to really bring happiness and positivity to the Dunkin' brand. While I attended a lot of events, I also provided photography services in a variety of areas. Mostly, I photographed new products that were either limited time offerings that had been around before or something completely new like the Dirt Cup Donut (a chocolate donut with Oreo crumbs and a gummy worm on top). I always made sure the product pictures were relatable and attainable for our followers.Through this position, I learned two important things. 1) Having a big, giant donut mascot walking around brings a lot of positivity and smiles to your brand. 2) Marketing involves a lot of broad aspects. Event attending is a pretty important way to bring positive associations to your brand. Show less

I created relationships with multiple customers resulting in repeat business. These relationships really helped with our WOM marketing because so many of my customers loved how I serviced them, so they told their friends, and so on. This experience was great. Having almost four years of customer service experience definitely helped me learn how to stay calm in tough situations, make sure customers needs were always met, and learn how to really talk to different kinds of people.
