For the past ten years I have been a firefighter. I started my fire service career five years with Burton Fire and Rescue. Currently I work with Parris Island Fire and Rescue. During the past ten years I have been to numerous leadership courses. These past ten years have helped me become a greater teammate a real motivated leader and critical thinker. With that said my career in the USMC taught me a lot about supply and logistics. For my first four years I was put in charge of the aviation supply accounting division. I was in charge of six flying squadrons fuel and flight equipment expenses. The next four years I was in charge of the delivery desk for the repairable management division. Supervised a group 15 people in the daily operation of a warehouse that totaled over 300 million dollars of aircraft parts. Provided leadership to a group 15, 10 of which were promoted and 5 who are well on their way to be promoted. Monitored the professional development of 15 personal making sure these individuals were trained in the daily operations of a warehouse. Monitored the daily flow of retrograde parts from the flying squadrons to the deport level facilities. Protected 300 million dollars worth of aircraft part from lost and damages.
