Current09/2009 Present Volunteer participant assisting with the development of a growing coalition to improve transportation in the Twin Cities metropolitan area Active advocate for "Complete Streets" a national movement for street design and construction that recognizes the needs of all users, regardless of age or ability: people who walk and take transit, ride bicycles, children, seniors, people with disabilities. Training staff and informing the public about policies that effect various modes of transportation Training to assist in Complete Streets legislation in 2010. Participant in Mn/DOT Complete Streets Study Signing up citizens to take part in fundraising for better transportation Grassroots training including phone banking Researching with community organizers, urban planners and engineers working to improve the process of how vehicles can move effciently in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Involved in training that effectively can mobilize people to talk with their elected representatives about transportation issues
