About Kai Bitter

Kai serves as chair of the firm’s International Services Group and heads our German Desk. He focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and a broad range of commercial transactions, frequently advising European and Asian companies in the U.S. Kai is also a member of the Manufacturing and Automotive industry teams and has represented national and international manufacturers in a wide range of corporate and commercial issues.Before joining Frost Brown Todd in 2007, Kai practiced as a corporate attorney in the M&A teams of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Baker & McKenzie in Duesseldorf, Germany. He maintained his German license as a Rechtsanwalt until 2020. He graduated from law school in Muenster, Germany, in 2000 and holds a post-graduate degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.Included in the 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Law and listed by Chambers Global as an "excellent go-to choice for advising German clients in the USA" (2014) and "excellent in international matters" under Corporate/M&A - USA (2015).
