My passion, my experience , and my training makes my business different from other similar businesses. Surfing, since I was a kid, has been the activity I am most passionate about and I now have found an outlet by which to share that passion. It is simply amazing and extremely fulfilling to see someone's eyes and feel their stoke on a wave, whether it be their first time or otherwise. I have grown up here in the Charleston, SC area and so I know the waters and currents and weather; but, I have also traveled throughout the world and I am a nationally ranked competitor. Sol Surfers Surf Camp has always been very active in the community and beyond. I have a BS Degree in Education from the College of Charleston, Class of '93. I taught Science in Middle School for 10 years and the material I taught is very relevant to what I teach my students in Surfing. Sol Surfers Surf Camp requires all instructors to be Certified Lifeguards and be Certified in First Aid and CPR.My goals are to keep improving my business and my surfing and to stay as humble and alert as I possibly can.Specialties: My specialties begin with my surfing and ocean knowledge at both local and international levels. I have a BS Degree in Education from the College of Charleston and taught 8th grade in the local public schools for 10 years. I am a qualified Yoga instructor as well as a certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
