I adore learning about new things; this has led to a passion in research, as the whole goal is to discover something new about a material, system, or processes. This has been my drive through my academic carrier to achieve both my masters and PhD. I have developed an array of skills during my academic career including team-working in senior design and working on a Laboratory Directed Research and Development with Idaho National Laboratory. During my time working on the LDRD, I have worked extensively with Vienna ab initio simulation package (VASP) and with Python to create scripts for both preprocessing and analysis. I believe that organized work is vital for success, and I have used Git/GitHub to keep code update-to-date and consisted over difference project members or devices. During my tenure at North Carolina State University, I have had the opportunity to present my discoveries during research at both the American Nuclear Society and the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society.

Raleigh, North Carolina, United States
Conducted ab initio molecular dynamic studies on molten salts for application in molten salt reactors. In this role, LiCl-KCl, NaCl-MgCl2, and NaCl-PuCl3 systems have been extensively studied to understand their thermophysical, structural, optical and transport properties, which are vital for the advancement of MSRs. The influence of solutes such as CrCl2.
Los Alamos, New Mexico, United States
Conducted research on the thermophysical properties of molten NaCl-PuCl3. Created and verified python3 scripted to analyze various properties and calculate linear regressions. Studied the influence for CrCl2 and CrCl3 on the thermophysical properties of both LiCl-KCl eutectic and NaCl-MgCl2 eutectic.
