I provide the required level of support for each Apprentice to enable timely successfulcompletions of their apprenticeships in L7 Professional Accounting and Taxation.This includes the requirements of ensuring learner files are fully compliant with the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) requirements.I am also responsible for ensuring Apprentices have a quality starting point including programme planning using the Individual Learning Plan. To ensure learners remain on the programme by carrying out progress reviews and assessments at regular intervals either remotely or face to face. I fully engage employers during the whole of the learning journey. I ensure that learners have a robust learner journey from start to completion. I provide guidance and support at one to one meetings or in groups for learners and completing Functional Skills, ensuring timely completion of assessments, exams, workplace evidence, and the overall project portfolio ready for submission at EPA. I support to grow the Kaplan Apprenticeship provision, to coach, develop and deliver training at the highest standard. I absolutely love what I do, because every student who gets to spend time with me, is developing, progressing within their career and inspired. That is my intention and that is what I do best.

Working for Halfords in a very diverse role as an Assessor/Coach within the apprenticeship retail team. This includes working closely with the Halfords stores allocated to me in the East of England and delivering coaching sessions in relation to the new standards. I have an important role, especially with new recruits, to support, coach, observe, and mentor them through a vigorous learning and development program to help career progression, but also gain a recognised apprenticeship. I manage a case load, meeting specific KPI’s, including the delivery of functional skills. I often lead my team and take part in the monthly manager’s meetings for my area, working closely with store managers and the area manager to improve quality and continuity of training. I also regularly take part in projects with the quality team, to help raise the standards set by our governing body, and this includes being part of the focus group for my team. I enjoy and take great pleasure in my role, especially helping the stores/learners understand there is a real strong link between the training and development we do and the overall business success.

Working for Intraining has been one of the greatest stepping stones of my career, and I have acquired an immense amount of transferable skills. I originally came in as a Sports and Recreation Assessor, due to my qualifications, experience and competence, including being able to deliver 7 other qualifications. However by 2017 I am now able to deliver 12 awards including Management level 3 and Leisure Management. The job has been extremely diverse, including the assurance of meeting KPI’s on a monthly basis, developing a learning strategy for each learner based on their expertise, identifying learning style by conducting a cog-nassist assessment on each learner to help with the action planning and goal setting, I have also been able to collate reports and data, send and retrieve information using an internal system and successfully use outlook as part of my admin duties. I have worked as a sales consulted for the company, meeting employers and delivering presentations, explaining the apprenticeship scheme and eligibility requirements successfully to produce more revenue into the company and innovating new services to boost our reputation. I have worked with over a hundred employers; this includes helping to manage big contracts like the NHS, Essex and Suffolk water, Everyone Active leisure centres. I have had the opportunity to deliver seminars, group training and invigilate exams, including conducting health and safety appraisals for employers.

I started working at the front gate for the prison, which included responsibilities to access control, admission and discharge of prisoners, leading a team to undertake duties such as vehicle stop and search, perimeter checks, visitor identity checks and x-ray monitoring, advance search operations on suspected drug traffickers, pin phone monitoring, overseeing the key safe and sensitive equipment protection cabinet. I then moved into the control room, which gave me a lot of experience in dealing with complex situations, such as dealing with the prison regime. This role gave me complete responsibility of the establishment, in which I had to conduct all movements around the prison from the CCTV monitoring and communications chamber. This duty included role count at various times in the prison, which had to be 100% accurate at all times, emergency response, permission grants for movements, liaising with internal and external intelligence services, upholding the prison regime and ensuring all prisoner, officers and governors complied with the policies and procedures of the prison regime for safety and security reasons. I also worked on prison landings where prisoners were located, and had various other responsibilities, such as prisoner escorting to court/hospital, night duty, reception duty for new prisoners, contractor escort, x-ray and mail censoring, and general management of the wings with routine responsibilities including administrative and record keeping.
