What moves me to do be there every week has everything to do with my dedication for the kind of technique i work with known as "Rapid Prototyping" or "Additieve Manufactoring" a.k.a 3D-printing which is the most popular as well as the most common name for this "magical" piece of technique who will change the world in the nearby future. We are building a 3D-printing machine with a team of 4 highly skilled scientists and engineers. At the same time as we are building this machine we are also helping to develop it and to increase the quality adding new ideas to it. I worked with this machine before which was quiet a while ago. To be exactly 13 yaers ago and i was really surprised that no further developement has taken place eversince. So i picked-up my skills after 13 years and just started where i stopped the last time. At the FabLab we are very pleased to see anyone who is interested in this kind of revolutionary technique and we are looking forwarth to show people around. We also develope new strains who will produce a higher content of these alkaloïds by modification. We have several ISO-5 Class cleanroom facility's because we work with steriele media all the time to avoid contamination of our products by other micro-organisms surrounding us everywere and all the time as we are exposed to them. One example of one of our products are so called; Statines. We extract these alkaloïds from Shii-Take mushroom fruitbodys. This alkaloïd is a perfect biological replacement for a drug many people take daily to decrease the amount of Chloresterine inside their body which causes high bloodpresure and finally will lead to vascular deseases like heart-attacks, stroke's and embolies. This is one example of the Myco-Pharmaceuticals that we produce. As a company we are certified, accreditated and validated by both European (NEN) as well as Global (ISO) standards. We also have a food-safe qualification (HACCP) and a qualification to be a envouiremental friendly kind of Industrie (EKO-keurmerk). Next to produce and sell our products we do a lot of R&D as well as sharing our knowledge and skills with collegues in the same industrie and dont claim any results we made as patents.
