I love people. At 18 years old, I was fortunate enough to become the first person in my family to attend college despite several mental and environmental challenges. I would not have been able to achieve this without the encouragement of the people in my life, and for this, I am eternally grateful. I hope to return the favor by serving as an empathetic, supportive resource for those who are struggling. In the future, I hope to become a licensed clinical professional counselor. I am currently searching for counseling internship opportunities in Illinois to develop professional skills and connections.As an undergraduate psychology student at Northern Illinois University, I am actively building relevant skills such as teamwork and communication through my campus experiences and coursework. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa as well as NIU's University Honors Program, and I also have two years of customer service experience. I am looking forward to applying these skills to my professional endeavors, and furthermore, I am eager to positively impact my community.
