I have a BSc in Physics from the University of British Columbia and have experience working in research, government and the private sector on different problems involving data and software. I love solving problems and creating lasting relationships with people. I also have experience working with visualization tools such as Power BI as well as with coding languages such as Python, Java and SQL. My journey through undergrad started as a pre-med who decided early on to "shoot for the stars" as a physics major. Here, I took on many internships, starting as a software developer in a geophysics research team then to the Canadian Space Agency where I had always dreamed of working and finally into the construction industry where I first learned about the power of data and its use in businesses. It was here that I also gained a new found interest in accounting and finance by working closely with both teams. I was able to work on many challenging and interesting problems throughout my five years as a physics major but decided to move on to something new...Now I am enrolled in UBC's Diploma in Accounting Program and am excited to be starting my new journey towards the CPA designation. As the world continues to evolve with new technology I am looking to integrate my knowledge about big data and my experience in the construction and infrastructure industries with my new accounting background. As an aside, I am also a working actor and have been in two big TV shows, Pachinko (Apple TV) and Shogun (Disney+). I am passionate about acting and am always happy to talk about my experiences working in the entertainment industry!
