The FoU/R&D project ELinGO, funded by Research Council of Norway and The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, conducted a concept analysis on the electrification of heavy road transport. The goal is to contribute to the electrification of freight transport by road that strengthens the competitiveness of Norwegian business in a low-emission society.The Norwegian Public Roads Administration with partners invited to a final conference in the research project «Electrical infrastructure for freight transport» in June 2019, where the ELinGO project presented and handed over its report to then Minister of Transport and Communications, Ketil Solvik-Olsen.

In the role of the Operations Director, Kai sits as part of the Leadership team (reporting to the MD) and plays a critical role in both the continued development of the organisation and its successful expansion.The role is on one hand responsible of securing sound implementation of Berendsen Group and Business Line main objectives and strategy, and on the other hand all matters related to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs etc.

Kai's role as a Business Manager has the overall responsibility for the Washroom Division P&L with direct report to MD.The role has full responsibility for daily operations, results and employees, hereunder responsible of continuously optimizing operations, quality and processes.The role is responsible of securing sound implementation of Berendsen group and Business Line main objectives and strategy.

Project Manager role with the overall responsibility for the Post merger integration of the acquired ISS Washroom Division and Berendsen organisation. ISS KAM role responsible for managing and administering both the Partnership agreement and Supplier Agreement between the parties.

Kai worked as management consultant across Europe leading projects helping companies optimize their operations reaching a sound balance between customer service and results improvements. He facilitates companies finding their full potential and helps them drive the necessary organizational changes through from idea to Implementation.The role is typically, in complexity, leading a multi-site stream, or a cross regional project.Kai also holds a defined role as a Development Manager - responsible for in-house consultants’ development.

Kai's role was to control personnel, purchasing and inventory in a fast moving business with tight margins. Kai was brought in, on a short-term basis, with the specific responsibility of identifying and implementing various cost reduction elements. Introduced systems to sustain the improvements and link inventory levels to sales volumes, and installed new procedures for daily work routines.

1) Real estate project - acquisition and development. 2) Purchased and re-organised a large cafe into a bar/restaurant concept. Challenge involved redesign of existing infrastructure enabling us to minimise the need for staff whilst maximising service levels. Inventory reduction and re-alignment with the needs of the business. Among several roles, Kai held the Chairman role together with holding the responsibility for design and implementation of re-fitting project and marketing.

Kai held a service department manager role in a business offering integrated security and communication systems to large institutions. Together with day-to-day operation, Kai was responsible for customer relationships, control of inventory, products, NS-ISO 9001 certification and training of apprentices and fitters.
