Kaihong Wang, recognized for consistently exceeding his goals, presenting creative ideas and demonstrating exceptional leadership, has a passion for business analytics. With an undergraduate degree in Accounting, and his prior work experience in securities and insurance, he has a strong foundation in business. Kaihong is looking to leverage these experiences and his Katz MS in Finance and Business Analytics to pursue a career in Business Analytics.Prior to attending Katz, Kaihong worked as an intern with CITIC Securities in Beijing. Kaihong helped gain 186 new clients for the company by promoting specific finance products that fit their investment strategies. In addition, Kaihong maintained and consolidated client records from multiple sources into one Excel spreadsheet. This proved to be an effective way for relationship managers to quickly locate information related to their clients and enabled them to be more proactive and responsive to the clients’ needs. They no longer had to consult multiple sources to gather information. Kaihong also worked at Ping An Insurance Company where he assisted in conducting market analysis to examine trends in the insurance industry. He developed method to effectively identify new clients and business opportunities by tracking key community events and occurrences that impacted the local Pin An branches.Kaihong went to Beijing Wuzi University and earned a Bachelor degree of Management, majoring in Accounting (ACCA). This program is unique in that the curriculum is set by the global accounting professional organization which provides students to expand their accounting knowledge through more in depth courses. While an undergrad, Kaihong participated in a national research competition that examined university students’ investments in the secondary stock market. For his research he placed second. He also won the first place in a simulation competition out of 30 groups.
