All too often, clients reach me only when a lawsuit or arbitration is already filed or the situation has reached a point beyond repair. At that moment, it is too late for prevention. Litigation has become warfare and those not prepared to commit the resources to win find themselves at the short end of a bad compromise or outright loss.The key, I have learned, is prevention. While I am still a full-time litigator for all type of business and commercial disputes at the state, federal, trial, and appellate levels, working on the improvement of policies, contracts, and relationships is the most effective means to prevent litigation and, when that is not possible, greatly assist in reducing its cost, time, and liability exposure.I have worked with financial institutions, insurance companies, telecommunications companies, exporters and importers, distributors, manufacturers, and real estate brokerages, to find ways to improve internal control and external relationships so that clients can be more certain of the outcome of a given situation or know in advance what the scope of their rights are before disputes erupt.I am a business litigator whose work includes representing both corporations and individuals in matters involving contracts disputes, business torts, corporate governance disputes, and insurance coverage.
