I am entering the Job Market after graduating from the University of Arkansas where I consistently demonstrated my love for creating opportunities for those around me and my commitment to my studies and community. This was most obvious in a student organization I founded called The Playground 402. After completing my first-ever playwriting, there was a desire among myself and my peers to continue fostering our writing skills. So I began organizing and hosting weekly meetings where students could share, perform, and offer feedback for each other's work. We then completed each semester of script development with a public night of New Play Readings. Involved in making these nights happen were as many as 40 students ranging from actors to playwrights, to stagehands.In running this club I continually brought ideas to fruition, recruited students, utilized faculty connections to reserve spaces and publish marketing materials, sought out and implemented feedback, delegated tasks to group members and continually adjusted to each new scenario.While creating, growing, running, and passing the torch on a student organization was not a professional experience, the skills I learned and implemented throughout this process are extremely valuable in all professional fields. I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and continue to create.
