I love to learn. Learn about new information or techniques whether it be about animals, lab work. or programs. I would love to expand my horizons and experience new situations while using information I have gained along the way.I first discovered my passion for helping animals at a young age. As a young girl, I once turned around and was surprised to see a large Doberman behind me. Instead of having a reaction full of fear, I hugged the dog. After that, I fell in love with animals and took great care over my family pets. Thus, I started to volunteer at animal shelters and veterinary clinics. I was able to assist with restocking items and counting medication which helped shape my understanding of how even the smallest jobs can be the most important.I worked hard through school so I could get my bachelors degree of zoology quickly due to financial concerns. While the cost was a large focus of mine, I still enjoyed my time in college. I chose the zoology degree because it had my specific interests at heart: animals and how they are classified, identified, economical and societal impact, and their behavior. The zoology major was a blast as I learned about different species that I otherwise wouldn't know of, and the anatomy of some specific species. From my journey going through school, I learned how to work hard and how important it is to listen and understand.Working at a veterinary clinic now, I have learned even more of the veterinary field and industry. I have worked the most with the surgery aspect, but have dipped into the appointment and reception portion. With the surgery side of a clinic, I have learned how to be most efficient while also being thorough and meticulous. From the stories of my fellow coworkers, I hear there are different procedures and equipment at other clinics and hospitals. I would love some day to learn more about them and how they work so that I can gain more experience and understand even more about the veterinary industry.
