Planning, promoting and managing diverse and inclusive events on campus. Weekly meetings help to plan and delegate work, and foster communication within the board. Preparatory trainings in the summer informed me about the importance of multiculturalism everywhere, and taught me leadership skills.

Job consisted of filling in for absent teachers and adapting to each of the classroom environments and routines. Required the ability to manage large groups of children to stay in legal ratios, and clear and consistent communication with teachers and managers. I learned how to organize my time, and be flexible during changing conditions. Hilltop is an institution as well as a children’s center, and it was enlightening to experience the unique way that Hilltop engages and educates children.

Trendy Crafts is a small, but quickly growing Seattle company with a goal of engaging kids of all ages in creating interesting crafts that can be displayed rather than ending up in the trash bin.
