Fork of the South is a female owned retail and general store. Fork of the South supports over 80 makers and locally owned businesses. It opened in August of 2019 and has only grown since then.I started working with Fork of the South around July of 2019, preparing for the opening of the store. Throughout my time with Fork of the South, my tasks included - Designing and keeping up with the website for the store. This included occasionally shipping out online orders, keeping up with product images and descriptions, and making sure that the website represented the Fork of the South brand well- Digitally creating original artwork to be produced as stickers, sweatshirts, and greeting cards. This merchandise was and still is sold to customers online and in the store. I also digitally created menus, social media posts, and logos for events- Displaying products on the floor so that they were organized and accessible to customers. I also had to be knowledgeable about the products and makers that were carried in the store so that customers could be properly informed on the merchandise- Exhibiting strong customer service skills both in the store and when speaking to customers on the phone. In the store, customer service was a priority and it was something that I made sure to emphasize when training employees
