Advising 100+ students applying for internationally competitive fellowships.

• 20 hours per week on a federally-funded educational research study in the Department of Special Education.• Assessment and tutoring of First-Grade Students in Title-1 Metro Nashville Public Schools who are at risk for developing pervasive mathematics and reading difficulties• Work was conducted out in elementary schools, testing and tutoring students, as well as attending research trainings and weekly meetings

• Participated in highly competitive international ten-month fellowship serving as a US cultural ambassador• Teaching English as a foreign language to Taiwanese students in a public-school classroom setting• Instructing and managing groups of 30 students ages 6-12• Lesson planning with Taiwanese co-teachers while overcoming language and cultural barriers together

• Supported and mentored seventy at-risk students by providing extra help in academics• Introduced and encouraged organizational skills, by cultivating an environment where students learn how to use their unique skills to help each other understand course curriculum • Maintained structured classroom environment and creating a positive learning environment when students’ typical instructor is away.

• Managed a team of glass artist glass teaching girls aged 11-17 how to use propane torches to make jewelry and other art• Accounted or the safety of children around open flames and explosive gas• Managed the care and wellbeing of five to twenty children at a time, fourteen hours a day, entrusted to organize both children and adults to accomplish lofty goals over short periods of time
