I am currently a fourth-year Biology student, striving to be a Doctor. My devotion for helping others and applying my knowledge to real world situations has brought me to Harrisburg University, where I am working on my Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Sciences. About 3 years ago, I completed a certified nursing program in Maryland, which covered the imperative skills needed to work in clinical settings, assist patients, being a great caretaker and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. The most valuable lesson I have learned so far from Harrisburg University has been the importance of knowing how to build onto your skills by all means necessary before moving into different levels of careers. Even though I knew it will take hard work to achieve my goals, I have enjoyed learning the basics from my courses, as well as from other students and creating connections with professors and other outside resources, I really believe that these factors have prepared me well for where I want to be in the future. This year, I am working on mastering ways to improve my knowledge through various projects, programs and labs to continue to build my technical skills, and next year, I plan to complete internships to gain firsthand experience in my field.
