Have you ever met someone known for their work in criminal defence law ... and disruptive legal education?Ken is the co-founder of Lawcademy, a casual academic at UTS and a former criminal defence lawyer. Through Lawcademy, Ken runs interactive skills based workshops and online courses preparing law students for legal practice of the future. At UTS, Ken brings the same innovating teaching style to substantive his substantive subjects including Foundations of Law, Criminal Law, Evidence and Civil Practice. When not building the next generation of solicitors, Ken can be found advising law societies on how to best support their students, judging his favourite student advocacy competition (Witness Examination) and running leadership and facilitation workshops for various non-profits and university based societies.And in case you were wondering, he’s based in Sydney, is obsessed with Gladwellian storytelling and is happy to talk with you for hours about empathy, leadership, law, public speaking or legal education.
