After graduating in 1983, I became a Registered Quantity Surveyor ( Board of Registration of Architects & Quantity Surveyors- BORAQS) in 1986, and a Corporate Member of the Architectural Association of Kenya ( AAK) and the Institute of Quantity Surveyors (IQSK) in 1987 and 2012 respectively. I was admitted as an Associate and Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators ( CIArb) in 1991 and 1999 respectively.I founded Masterbill (K), a Construction Cost and Quantity Surveying consultancy firm in 1989, after working in the public and private sector for four and two years respectively. In 2007, Masterbill (K) merged with Integrated Project Consultants to become Masterbill Integrated Projects (MIP) where I presently hold the position of Team Leader and Quality Control Director. My professional passion is in construction contracts administration, project management and dispute management through Alternative Dispute Management (ADR) which includes Arbitration, Mediation and Adjudication.I consider coaching and mentoring younger people generally, and young professionals in particular, a special calling.
