I worked as a substitute web editor because of a maternity leave.I wrote and edited texts for websites, ads, blogs, e-zines and various social media accounts. I also worked as a publishing editor for a book about occupational health care. In this position I learned a lot about communications planning, social media, visual communication, writing for the web, SharePoint, website traffic and search engine optimization (SEO). I also gained experience on how to manage a book project with over a dozen writers and how it is to have the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health to check the result before printing.

I worked as a substitute editor. There was a position open because of a job alternation leave. In this position I learned about academic publishing and research papers.

Started to edit again after a brief pause, both non-fiction and one memoir. In these projects I got to know about real estate book publishing and World Ward II in Poland.

I worked as editor/producer in nonfiction, producing both Finnish and foreign titles. I was responsible for the publishers limited, numbered editions (two prints a year) and a number of practical titles, including books on cookery, wine, garden and handicraft. I also worked with two song books and some art history titles without special numbering.The job was to organize the whole project: having a book with decent content and visual looks, and selling well. The process includes having a good author with an insight of the subject, good-looking pictures and a skillful graphic designer. Needless to say, this requires good interpersonal skills, an eye for visual details and texts (grammar and content), a good understanding of publishing business and time management.I also wrote the marketing texts for all my titles and visited the London and Frankfurt Book Fair in 2009.

I helped in various projects by proofreading or by providing graphic designers with the photography they needed. The authors had chosen the pictures for their upcoming titles.
