Dr. Kaiser Matin is currently with DARPA/MTO as a technical adviser. He is a technophilic engineer with over 20 years of expertise in multidisciplinary research, advanced technology development and management. An expert in thermal design technologies and electronics cooling having strength in analysis using both CFD and FEA.Kaiser was a Staff Engineer, at United Technologies Aerospace Systems (Hamilton Sundstrand) an aerospace divison of United Technologies. He was responsible for the thermal design and testing of airborne electronic boxes, motors and generators at UTC's Electric Systems Group.Previously, Kaiser was a Principal Engineer at Wavecrest Labs. At Wavecrest, Kaiser innovated and implemented several key technologies applying advanced thermal/mechanical design techniques for electric vehicles (EVs). He was also responsible for developing a full-fledged heat transfer/thermal testing lab for Wavecrest.Earlier, he was with THOMSON as a Staff Member at the Center of Excellence. While at THOMSON, Kaiser played a key role in the development and forming of flat screen television CRTs. Kaiser also spent some time in the academia, teaching thermal and fluid sciences in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Bangladesh Institute of Technology (BIT). Kaiser received his MS and a Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from BUET. He has a number of technical publications and patents.Personal: US citizenInvolvement in more than 55 aerospace commercial and defense related programs and technology maturationsSpecialties: More than 20 years experience on developing innovative thermal/mechanical design solutions.
