Kai Starn is a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Steven Winter Associates. He specializes in material selection strategies, including specifying life cycle impacts using whole building life cycle assessment (LCA) and Triple Bottom Line analytics. He leads integrated design charrettes to set building performance goals early.He has experience with various commercial, mixed-use, and urban planning projects and leading educational workshops. His professional knowledge helps architects, owners, developers, and facilities accelerate healthy, equitable, low-energy, and resilient building life cycle strategies. He has project experience providing certification support for LEED for New Construction, LEED Healthcare, LEED Commercial Interior, LEED Core and Shell, and LEED Schools. Mr. Starn chairs the CT Green Building Council and co-chairs the Advocacy Committee. He is excited to see Connecticut exceed the Governor’s climate goals by improving the built environment.
