The PacMEL project aims to build a thriving community of MEL professionals operating in countries across the Pacific region. We know that community and relationships are the foundation for our multiple ways of living in the Pacific. We know that MEL activities, techniques and processes are strengthened when they are designed together with communities. Through this approach, we can enhance robust MEL processes for the benefit of Pacific communities. As the PacMEL team at SPC, this is our wero/challenge. My efforts are focused on strengthening existing development partnerships and nurturing new ones. I also work closely to incorporate Pacific pedagogies into mainstream capacity-building programmes for MEL where appropriate. These activities cut to where my passions lie, in empowering and enhancing the way we work towards a resilient, and thriving blue Pacific region.Whether you are a budding or seasoned MEL professional working in the Pacific region, I am keen to connect, reflect, collaborate and share learnings and challenges in the spirit of solesolevaki.
