Working alongside the MD and Client Services Director to further develop the agency and re-package their concept of Community Marketing into a new strategic tool of engagement called Communitography. It's an approach which focuses on the communities people choose to be a part of, and their leaders, to drive more meaningful relationships with community members.

Having enjoyed a seven month full time contract at Opening Doors as Client Services Director in 2011, I am delighted that after a short break my association with them now continues running alongside my own consultancy activity.

This company had been my client at McCann Erickson and I had been working with them for a number of months when they made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I jumped ship from agency life to client side. As the senior marketeer within PTL I worked closely with the Sales Director and NPD team (including the inventor), to bring to market a salon-based anti-ageing treatment. Involved in all aspects of NPD from product naming, clinical trials, brand identity, B2B and B2C advertising & promotion, training materials, pricing, sales promotion, salon reward programs etc. this was an exciting project and an opportunity to expand my marketing knowledge beyond the agency environment. Unfortunately a business decision to partner with a distributor resulted in the sales and marketing teams being made redundant so my time as a client came to a somewhat premature end and I returned to Agency life.

I enjoyed almost 8 years at McCanns in two separate stints. Second time around I went back on a freelance basis as an Account Director to cover a 6 month maternity contract, became an employee again and stayed almost 4 years! Throughout this time I worked on a variety of B2C and B2B clients inlcuding GUS, Bass Brewers (Toby Restaurants & Pubs), PhotoTherapeutics Limited, Nortel Communications & a number of exciting pitches. I eventually left McCann to go and work as the European Marketing Manager for PhotoTherapeutics who had been my client.

I joined Cheetham Bell as the first 'proper' account handler in the agency having spent 4 years at McCann's learning the trade. Cheetham Bell was a completely different agency to McCanns and allowed me to indulge my love of sport on well known brands such as Berghaus, Dunlop and Slazenger.
