I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Though they seem unrelated at first glance, I have greatly enjoyed exploring the areas in which they overlap, such as criminal psychology and forensics. My academic work and internships allowed me to work on several team and individual projects involving research, analysis and presentation of complex neurological functions and experience first hand our legal system through my internship with the US Attorney's Office. I find great satisfaction applying the rigors of scientific research to the criminal justice system; explaining how and why criminal activities occur. As a focused student, I was able to satisfy my degree requirements one semester early, while actively participating in the challenging Wind Ensemble and working part time to cover 100% of my personal and text book expenses.A person of diverse interests and a lifelong animal lover, I have begun working toward a career in veterinary medicine since leaving school. My current job at The Barkley Pet Hotel and Day Spa has given me wonderful opportunities to explore this field and develop the skills I will need as I continue to reach for my goals.
