Serve as an HR Generalist providing support to the Shenandoah, IA manufacturing facility, consisting of approximately 450 employees with 2014 annual revenue exceeding $342 Million. • Manage employee relation issues and coach managers through employee corrective actions, performance evaluations, investigations, and managerial development, in alignment with Eaton’s philosophies and values. • Manage weekly staffing meetings to forecast facility staffing needs. • Partnered with management to recruit and select over 20 employees to meet business demands. • Responsible for full life cycle recruitment of professional salary positions, hourly positions, and contingent workforce. • Continuously improve critical responsibilities of the function including: staffing, on-boarding, and employee relations.• Ensure our facilities compliance with Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).• Coordinate annual employee survey in partnership with the HR manager.• Updated and restructured local employee handbook based on corporate requirements and policy changes. • Lead the Reward & Recognition team to drive employee engagement. • Completed local wage analysis and provided recommendations to site leadership team for 2015 implementation. • Partnered with the EHS team to evaluate our processes against MESH and governmental regulatory requirements to determine effectiveness, and assisted in implementing corrective actions based on those finding.
