As a cat sitter, I am an independent contractor responsible for the care of clients’ cats and homes for extended periods of time while clients are on vacation or out of town. This position has and continues to cultivate my sense of responsibility and self-motivation, as I am mostly in charge of my own work schedule.

As a sales associate, I received training and worked in several areas in the store, including front line, fitting room, and several sales floor departments. This job cultivated my customer service and efficient working skills.

This position allowed me to connect with current and aspiring history undergraduate students as an upper year to aid in choosing courses and improving writing skills in both one-on-one meetings and group settings.

In the garden center, I was provided opportunities to improve my customer service skills as I assisted customers in planning their gardens, with the use of memorized information about annual and perennial plants. In my second year with the company, I was given the responsibility of opening and closing their newest location, taking home the cash drawer and float at the end of each shift.
