Iโm a rising senior at the University of Florida pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. I am a member of the University of Florida Honors Program as well as the University Research Scholars Program. I have extensive experience in anatomical modeling, mechanical design, clinical applications, and wet lab techniques. I am passionate about improving the healthcare experience through creative design solutions, and I am currently seeking further industry experiences. Cardiothoracic CaptainDream Team Engineering May 2023 - Present-Managing 20 organization members and communicating with Pediatric Cardiologists at UF Health Shands Childrenโs Hospital to ensure the progress of the Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) subteam projects and create future projects through collaboration with clinical specialists and professors at the University of Florida. Cardiothoracic Sub-Team LeaderDream Team Engineering Jan 2023 - May 2023-Leading a team of 10 members and working closely with a Pediatric Cardiologist at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital to create an educational repository of 3D-printed heart disease condition models displaying common congenital heart defects to be used for patient education.-Utilizing 3D Slicer and Meshmixer to digitally segment, smooth, and slice heart models based on patient CT scans, highlighting a Double Outlet Right Ventricle and a Sinus Venosus Atrial Septal Defect. -
Design EngineerDream Team Engineering Aug 2022 - Jan 2023-Teamed up with physicians, nurses, and child-life specialists to create engineering devices that positively impact the patient, doctor, and overall healthcare experience. Shadowed and contributed to the Surgical, MRI Mechanical, and Cardiothoracic design team projects.-Worked on the surgical team to create model organs of the kidney and gallbladder to aid medical resident education by mimicking cholecystectomy and laparoscopic kidney transplant procedures in an effort to increase positive patient outcome.-Collaborated with the Cardiothoracic subteam to create a 3D-printed heart disease condition model displaying a Double Outlet Right Ventricle. -
