I am in my second year of studies at UW-Madison, where I am double majoring in Psychology along with Human Development and Family Studies while working towards a certificate in Disability Rights and Services. Currently, I'm working as an undergraduate research assistant in the Hartley Lab, which is part of the Alzheimer's Biomarkers Consortium-Down Syndrome (ABC-DS). The lab studies the relationship between Down Syndrome and the early onset of Alzheimer's Disease and has allowed me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and give me more experience with the research process.Throughout the summer, I worked as a recreational therapy intern at Central Wisconsin Center in Madison, which is a long-term care facility for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and I would be interested in expanding my internship opportunities in the future. I truly love to learn from those around me, and that passion for learning is what I feel allows me to adapt to new environments well.
