A little bit about me......I graduated from the Western University Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and have been practicing since 2011. I started my career at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on the surgical unit and worked as a Clinical Resource Nurse. Almost 4 years ago I transitioned into the Clinical Educator role at STEGH and have been loving it ever since! I thrive at establishing professional partnerships with the interdisciplinary team in order to achieve the best possible outcome for our patients, their families and our staff. Focusing on safety, quality, and integrating best practice into our daily work at STEGH. In this role I collaborate closely with clinical managers to implement best practice initiatives and enhance capacity with clinical staff, I facilitate monthly nursing orientation and I have worked closely with the Accreditation team to prepare our hospital for our most recent Accreditation. I’ve been recognized as a dedicated, ambitious, and reliable team member who has the ability to work self-directed but also work closely with the team. I have recently embarked on my masters journey. I started the Masters of Nursing program through Athabasca University with a focus in leadership in September 2020. I am excited about this education opportunity and for what my future holds.
