Daily work includes assisting the Physician and Physician Assistants. Assisting includes bringing patients into the exam room, providing a detailed history, aiding the practitioner with biopsies, and going over wound care and diagnoses with the patient. Along with being a medical assistant, my clerical duties include inputting patient demographics, inputting pathology diagnoses, filing superbills, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, completing prior-authorizations, etc. I also work as a laboratory assistant when needed. My duties in the lab include daily set-up of specimens in order to gross examine.

Handled administrative functions for the office including: answering phone calls, lightbookkeeping, inventory, etc.• Worked with companies including: Booksource, Congress In Your Pocket, and NYCDepartment of Education• Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events for the CEO, including traveland hotel arrangements

Started in 2006 as a volunteer. Transported residents to meetings, their rooms and to the recreational area. Transitioned into visiting residents on a regular basis to play cards, read books, and accompany them during meal time.
