I am a senior at Maple Mountain High School. I am an intern at Synergy Physical Therapy. I have played sports for most of my high school years. But that came to a screeching stop when I broke my tibia and fractured my growth plate running hurdles at track practice my junior year. After that I spent a lot of time doing physical therapy and I realized I loved the environment, and I loved the work. I enjoy helping people take care of and understand themselves. I love watching someone come in on week one frustrated and sad, and then walk out weeks later confident in their ability to live without pain. The environment is also really good in Physical Therapy offices. The PT’s and their assistants are all friends and just excited to be there and help people.I took a Sports Medicine course in school and have loved having the additional knowledge from my internship. My ultimate career goal is to become a Physical Therapist with an emphasis on sports injuries. I like to help people achieve their potential, and that is where I feel like I can be most helpful.
