- Provide counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals with the goal of strengthening wholistic wellbeing and client's connection to their values - Utilize an eclectic approach when supporting individuals, with a particular expertise in cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, somatic-based approaches, and emotionally focused therapy- Focus of practice is in working with individuals who have experienced developmental and relational forms of trauma including gender-based and sexual violence

- Provide comprehensive and trauma-informed support to students who have experienced gender based sexual violence.- Liaise with various Western University departments and external community members to provide coordinated response that is tailored to survivor's needs, and level of risk.- Inform survivors about their rights and reporting options with regard to legal, justice, and institutional procedures both within and outside of the University.- Provide training to Western community members covering the University's Policy on Gender-Based and Sexual Violence, and act as a subject-matter expert in the area of gender based sexual violence for University members including faculty and staff.

- Provide intensive short term support, crisis intervention and service coordination to residents of Elgin County.- Complete mental status examinations and clinical assessments of individuals attending the emergency department for mental health and addictions crises.- Work in collaboration with healthcare, outpatient services, and community partners to build an effective support network to promote client recovery and discharge from hospital. - Provide trauma-informed support, information, and referrals to individuals, professionals and family members via the Reach Out Crisis Line.

- Conduct healing program intake to ensure service eligibility through preliminary needs and safety assessments.- Provided trauma counselling, grounded in anti-racist, anti-oppressive and feminist therapy, for women who are survivors of human trafficking, and gender-based violence.- Developed individualized and dynamic treatment plans according to client needs, and situation. - Regularly consulted with inner and external agency professionals regarding client cases, ensuring a collaborative and multi-disciplinary approach is utilized where appropriate.

- Triage crisis calls and process intakes to emergency shelter, assessing for suitability of program admissions to counselling, children’s advocacy and healing services- Managed a caseload of 50+ shelter and community clients to secure better outcomes for women and families including safe housing, and access to mental health and community services- Served as on-call lead, providing direction and support for staff working in the shelter and attending on-site as needed- Sat on multi-sectoral Advisory Committee to liaise and engage with local agencies to support shelter and community clients through service coordination, advocacy, and resource mobilization

- Stationed at the Ontario Provincial Police regional call detachment centre- Triage 911 calls based on acuity and risk to provide a comprehensive and informed response - Provide crisis, mental health counselling and referrals based on presenting needs- Coordinate follow-up for service users to ensure continued access to community resources

- Developed an educational training program for the Reach Out Crisis Line to inform and empower Supportive Response program staff to better serve the communities of Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin.- Provided agency-wide virtual training to CMHA staff, on topics including risk assessment, safety planning, goal setting, rapport building, boundaries and communication skills.
