At Perdue Farms I furthered my education and work experience by working on a grocery e-commerce project for the Strategy, Insights and Integrated Marketing team during my ten week internship. My responsibilities there were educating the marketing department about grocery e-commerce and how Perdue can successfully emulate the consumer's experience online as they recieve in store. In addition to my e-commerce project, I helped with our digital appearance on our Perdue.com and retail trade site, constructed bi-weekly newsletters for their sales team, and helped listen to their consumer relations team. At Avalanche Industries I worked in various departments and completed a number of different tasks each day. I started as a buyer as I worked under the largest FBA seller, Avalanche Brands, who were projected to make over $150 million in profit by the end of the year and made connections with brand manufacturers to obtain cost and freight deals. I then moved to the production studio, where I learned to optimize exclusive products and manage our Amazon ecommerce. I contributed to the creation of product listings, photography, videography, and copywrite. I advertised our products through social media platforms and created graphic designs through Adobe Photoshop. This position introduced me to the opportunities and value of ecommerce.
